CCM Architecture is an Architectural Design and Construction company that focuses on providing thoughtful yet creative design solutions which enable the construction of beautiful, high quality spaces. We strive to design and build responsibly, giving thought to the environment while utilizing local trades, sourcing local materials or materials made in the USA.

Charles Mellon: Founder & Principal

Since he was a boy, Charles has always loved designing and building. He oversees all aspects of CCM from the initial consultation to the final punch list.

He received his Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the University of Oregon in 1995 and immediately started his own design-build business. He became a licensed architect and founded CCM in 2005. He is licensed in Washington State to practice Architecture and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). 

When not working, Charles spends his time in the mountains and valleys skiing, mountain biking, kayaking and backpacking with his wife Laura and their daughters.

Guy has enjoyed an active and varied career in the construction industry, owning and operating his own company. After partnering with CCM on many projects, he joined the team full time in 2017. He brings great value to CCM not only on the jobsite, but in managing budgets and scheduling. Guy is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, two dogs, and three adult children.

John Mellon Project Manager

In addition to his construction work, John has had a wide-ranging career that includes website design, gardening and outdoor guiding. He has been a key part of CCM since the beginning, focusing on construction and project management.

John a earned a Master of the Arts (Social Anthropology) from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and a Certificate in Construction Management from the University of Washington.

Jiaqi Wu Associate Architect

Jiaqi joined CCM in 2021 and is on her way to becoming a licensed architect. Born and raised in Suzhou, China, an ancient city with rich traditional architecture and amazing ancient gardens, Jiaqi completed her bachelor’s degree in architecture there. She also studied at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016 as an exchange student.

After finishing her bachelor’s degree, she moved to London to pursue her master’s in architecture at The Bartlett, University College London.

Maro Ma Designer

Maro Ma

Maro Ma, a creative force at CCM since 2021, holds a BA in Industrial Design from the University of Washington. With a diverse background in jewelry and kitchen design, along with teaching drawing to middle schoolers,

Maro brings a unique perspective to architectural design. He enjoys the outdoors and loves attending art galleries and symphonies, as well as being passionate about cooking. These pursuits complement Maro’s commitment to sharing and learning new designs and arts within influential communities.

Dan loved playing with LEGO and Tinker Toys as a kid, so it was only natural that he started in the construction business as a teenager. He has worked for CCM since 2016, starting out as a carpenter and now overseeing projects as a foreman. Dan excels at decks, windows, doors, siding and trim and brings a can-do attitude to every project.

When he’s not working on CCM projects, Dan loves to fish and enjoy the great outdoors.

Ryan’s fondness for working with his hands and turning raw material into a finished product led him to the construction industry. He joined CCM in 2018 and progressed from laborer to carpenter and runs projects as a foreman. Ryan excels at managing team members, subcontractors and vendors and keeping projects moving forward.

Outside of work, he’s enjoys working on his custom hot rod.

Tom brings decades of construction experience to CCM. From framing to finishing, he’s seen and done it all. He joined CCM in 2020 and he’s been a valued member of the construction team ever since.

Away from the job site, Tom enjoys motorcycles, woodworking, camping, cooking and spending time with his wife and adult children.

Amanda’s many years of administrative experience, along with her propensity for order and organization, make her a great asset to our team. She’s always had an interest in design and construction and appreciates every opportunity to learn something new.

Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, working out and spending time outdoors.

Peggy has been working in construction accounting for the past 25 years and joined CCM in 2017 She loves all aspects of construction and has enjoyed learning about the architectural/design side of the business.

When not working, Peggy enjoys kayaking the San Juan Islands in search of the perfect sunset camping spots.
